Young Pine Marten
I am not allowed to play out at the moment as my wife has said she would like too see me for a few weeks  although I think she has started to have enough of me already as she has just put all my cloths in my bag  Anyway just catching up with some processing and this one popped up. Fantastic Mammal to see at close quarters and I loved every minute of it.

Canon 1DS MK11, 500mm Lens, 1/80, F4, ISO 200

funny how shots like this never pop up when I'm post processing

an excellent shot Danny, the soft lighting really brings out the detail in the eye and the fur. The green moss may be a little bright but what a great encounter this must have been.

Just look at the expression on its face and that rich background. Fantastic picture, Danny, of a special mammal.
