I need the ability to make a slide show presentation with about 200 images. I've been googling and reading and looking at various products but not sure what would be good.
I am curious if anyone knows of a good slideshow software or has had some experience with one over another.
Thank you.

I use Pictures to EXE. It works great and is easy to use.

Maybe you've already considered the obvious, but as far as free options you can use:
Windows movie make, comes with windows, assuming you're on a pc
Simply use the slide show option in windows explorer when opening any folder
Or Power Point if you happen to already have that installed.

Hi - Thanks for the suggestions- I'll definately check into these further.
As far as the Windows slideshow goes, I used it some, but I need to add some customization such as in transition and slides with my name and business name,. I don't see any way for customization. Is there a way to do that? I think my Windows XP dated around 2003.
Yes, I am considering PowerPoint too. I have it, but would like to do more than PowerPoint does. Also, and maybe I am doing something incorrect, but it seemed to slow way down when I added more than 20 images. Thoughts?

PowerPoint will choke if you are loading your large jpgs into it. If you use the 3000+ pixel wide photos in it, and have more than 20, the file gets HUGE. You'll have to size your jpgs down to about 800 px wide to get the file size and the efficieny of powerpoint to a decent level.
www.blazemp.com/ has a good bulk sizer for resizing large numbers of photos & has good control for sharpening, and other features - it's not exact but it does work. I understand that Photoshop has the ability to re-size several photos at once but I've not used it.

Re: PowerPoint
You can also resize images inside of PowerPoint. In PowerPoint:
1) Right-click on an image, choose Format Picture from the pop-up menu,
2) Picture Tab > Compress
3) Select "All pictures in document"
4) Select "Web/Screen"
5) Select "Compress pictures"
6) Select "Delete cropped areas of pictures
7) OK > Save

Excellent! Thank you both. For this next presentation, I'll try this and see what happens. Thanks again!

So, if I use the compression method and the images range between 3.1 and 10.1 megapixels are the images going to project clearly onto the screen? I plan to use about 100 images. Right now, I have no idea what type of projector I'll be using.
