Golden Rod
The color of the season in these parts right now. Yellows are in every spot you look.

Yes, Brad, I've even seen it in my backyard (grins).

I can tell this is in your favorite haunt--the Flint Hills.

I like the skyline separating the pleasing blues from the yellow tones in the foreground. The contrast of the dark areas make the verticals more apparent.

Good stuff.

Hi Brad. Nice image. The goldenrod has a glow about it.

Love it, Brad. Great composition, light, and clouds - what more could you want? Those little blue flowers are perfectly placed, and make this a really strong image, I think. I'd like to see a larger version with all the detail in the grasses.

I'm hoping to get over there to enjoy some beautiful fall prairie sunrises/sunsets next month - maybe we could get together for lunch sometime... :wavey:

Brad, the glow that John mentioned combined with the sky really makes this an appealing photo.

Beautiful feast of gold Brad. The heavy foreground anchors this shot and really pulls the eye through the image. I bet this would be a jewel printed large...Very Nice!

Better than the brown you'll have in a few weeks. Nice field in bloom with great foreground color and detail.

Thanks everyone much appreciated. I'll see if I can get a few more Kansas images posted in the near future. Going to be in South Carolina for the next week. Might even have something from there as well.
Bill, that would be great, maybe Wayne could join.

Love this shot, Brad! You've taken an annoying weed and turned it into a work of art.

I love the depth you've captured here.

Congrats!
