filling out the honey-do list...

Couple of sweet shots. I particularly like the second one with the bee. Your Asters look a lot better than mine. I've tried to shoot them the last couple of weeks and they look so scruffy that I didn’t keep any of the shots. If you go out early in the morning you might find some bees that have spent the night on the flowers. Last year I got some great shots of several bees wrapped inside the Aster petals.
Very pretty, Tim. I like the comp of the first pic a bit more than the second (I'm a bit bugged--oh, what a bad pun --by the UR quartile of the second), but the bee is a really nice addition. I'm wondering about a slight crop off the left of the second image.

These are both really nice images. I like the first one as well, and would like to offer a possible slight crop from the top and the right. I like the orton application as well. In the second image, I'm a bit distracted by the ULC, not the URC that Kerry suggested.
Oops...I mistyped the the first time. It's the ULC that bugs me a tad (as Brian correctly note), not the URC (as I, originally, incorrectly noted ).

I prefer the first one because of the Gaussian blur treatment and the composition. I managed to find some Asters at PJ Hoffmaster SP last week, but haven't gotten around to processing them yet.
