Elk
Captured this this morning at RMNP. The elk did not seem very active this morning. Maybe in another week. Thanks for looking.

I will agree with Dan. I am up in Estes park spending the weekend chasing after the Elk. There was some activity Friday. In the morning, they were out in Horseshoe Park. In the evening, we found them in Morain Park. The activity was not near what we have seen in previous years. I don't know if it is early or if all the activity installing all the Elk fences is keeping them distant. We will try again tomorrow. I wish you luck Dan!

I have been up there the past week, culminating on Wed. night, it seems they have been very busy in the evenings compared to the mornings...why I don't know, but Horseshoe has been nuts from 4pm onwards.

I said this before, but apparently it bears repeating: DO NOT capture the elk! They're wild animals and have no place in your back yard! Geez, some people never learn.

Great shot, though.

Cool shot, great light. The background is also interesting as well.

The light is just outstanding, Dan. And your positioning of the two elk is perfect. Excellent work!

Nice shot Dan. I'd have to agree with John. They seem to be more active during the evenings than in the mornings.

This shot is wonderful. Full of emotion in addition to nice light and composition. Hope there is some action when we get there.

Nice shot Dan. Can't wait to see what you find in a week. I am on short term disability right now from a back operation and have not made my way up there yet, but feeling good wnough as long as I don't have to hike. Going to get up there early monday morning. Hopefully they will be more active.
