I wish this was mine, but I have to admit that my better half (julie) took this last week in the Mara. I can only claim to have processed it for her and ownership of the equipment. It just shows that it is the person pressing the button that counts.
I thought I'd post it just because I just love the shot; you don't see many from Africa in the rain do you?

Nice work the pair of you!
I liked little Toto and it was sad what happened - but as for TOTO Eric, let's not show our age ehh
That is so very nice, maybe classic but a pleasure to view... I think you had better hand the equiment over to Julie

that really is nice Eric (Julie!). The rain really does add to the image.
Can't get that song out of my head now though...

That's great, Eric. I also have the problem of a wife who often takes better shots than me! Fantastic post processing though

Really like this shot. Hope to get something like this next year!

Well the benefit of having a better half who also takes photographs is that
a) you are allowed to buy more gear
b) yes, even a 500mm lens
c) you get to travel in search of photos
The downsides seem to be
a) you get to carry all the gear
b) you get to look at the cherished 500mm but not to actually use it as it's always "busy"
c) they take better pictures than you
Top shot anyway, completely "made"by the falling rain.

Well done to both of you. A superb image, and the rain is a real treat.

This really is a very special image Julie and superbly captured too.
Great stuff, the rain adds a really unusual element. This also brings back a lot of memories for me, especially regarding that cub Toto. I might just have to dig an old shot out
