Early Roar....
50D, 300/2.8 + 1.4, Tripod + BWG-HD.
ISO200, 1/500 @ f8 -1/3 EV
ACR 5.3 + resize & sharpen CS4 (reduced Saturation a touch too)
Slight crop for composition.

Hi,

One from early Saturday Morning after a 4.30 rise.... The action is starting on a small scale here in the south east with a few stags going it alone and gathering the hinds... should be kicking of properly over the the next couple of weeks.

As a related point the Richmond/Bradgate meet is down on the events page as the 13th Oct, this is Tuesday, I believe the correct date should be Sat 10th Oct.

Great shot Phil! the detail in the backgroud is better than a completely diffuse one. I like it a lot.

love the colours and a great pose too of course, fairly predictable nit i know but it's a little central for my tastes, aside from that great shot
