This is a good time to increase your memory card inventory, SanDisk started their Fall rebate program. As usual, some of the rebates are better deals than others. I think the 3-pack of 8GB Extreme IV cards is the most bang for the buck, when you catch it right you get the 3-pack for $99... that's $33 per 8GB card for the Extreme IV UDMA versions. The best place to buy is usually Adorama. You can see the 3-pack here, $299 with a $200 mail-in rebate. If the link shows $349 ($149 after rebate), just check back, Adorama hops the price up and down all the time, just like Amazon.
If you need some memory and the slower cards are fine, check the rebate form for the best deal (the form is somewhere on the Adorama page when you click the link above). For instance, buying three 8GB Extreme IV cards gets you a $200 rebate, but the rebate is the same for 16GB cards... you would expect the rebate to be higher. It's weird like that with SanDisk sometimes.
Lastly, you don't get a check back from SanDisk, you get a Visa Prepaid card. That's a bit of a pain because you want to get that $200 back on your credit card naturally. I do this: since I budget $250 a month for fuel, when I get the Rebate Visa I just take the gas cash and pay my credit card the $200, then use the Rebate Visa for gas for the month.
Don't you wish sometimes that they'd just offer the sale price as is and skip this rebate stuff?

Thanks for the tip. The Visa Prepaid card isn't much of a rebate but a delayed spending. I usually pass on these "deals". It's not much of a savings if you're laying out the money. $299 is $299 no matter what I get for it.

Sure sounds like a rebate to me!
I do what you do - use the pre-paid Visa for gas, and then have $200 less on the gas card that month. All evens out.
