Background colour really sets off the silhouette of the Shelduck and the water droplets add to the effect. My eye is drawn though to the OOF area at the top of the frame. A really nice image though.

Lovely image, nice to get the water drops and the reflection is perfect I also quite like the oof area as it draws my eyes to the bird

That's a corker Rob. Pano crop looks even better IMO. Hope you are keeping well. Eric

I too think the OOF area adds to the image although I'd prefer it if it ran all the way across. A darker top line tends to stop the eye moving out of the frame which is why classical darkroom workers tend to burn in the top and bottom of prints.

Very well seen and captured, at first glance you can miss so much, but then a closer look reveals so much now that's clever.

Top shot, Rob - the droplets bring the image to life. Nice to see you got some nice light on the trip.
Cheers,
Chris

After an generally unsuccessful day I was pleased that the low light and still pool allowed some reflection shots of the ducks before they roosted.
Thanks,
