I walked out of Walmart this evening, and was marveling at the beautiful clouds and warm evening light. I thought to myself, "Self, I sure wish I was any good at capturing the mood of scenes like this. Where's John De Bord when you need him!" That got me thinking about all the talented photographers we have here at RMNP, and that many of them have a special knack for certain photo subjects. I decided to start a list denoting the specialties of some of our forum denizens. Here, without further adieu, is my initial entrants in the... ***RMNP MASTERS OF PHOTOGRAPHY***
(cue the fanfare and trumpets...)
John De Bord - Master of Evening Clouds & Light
Jesse Speer - Master of Seeing Outside the Box
Jody Grigg - Master of Going to Extremes
Jack Brauer - Master of Faraway Lands
Erik Stensland - Master of Rocky Mountain National Park
Dave Showalter - Master of the Prairie
Dan Walters - Master of Living Things
Todd Caudle - Master of the Obvious
John Mumaw - Master of the Unseen Desert
Brent Doerzman - Master of the Self-Portrait (hee-hee!)
Steve Weaver - Master of the Intimate Landscape
Grant Collier - Master of Secret Colorado
Stan Rose - Master of Dunes (added)
Rich Voninski - Master of Exotic International Cityscapes (added)
That's all I can think of off the top of my head. If I didn't mention you and I should have, it's only due to my short attention span. Mr. Speaker, I reserve the right to revise and extend my remarks.
PLEASE add to the list! You can even award your own kudos to those already mentioned by me or anyone else.
Have at it!
