Who needs the Maroon Bells, anyhow?
I 'discovered' this Aspen grove on a long hike a couple weeks back, and i knew it would be perfect for sunset, with the last light hitting at about a 70 degree angle. So i went back yesterday, and hiked back in the moonlight. The colors were almost peaking. Here's one from shortly before sunset, one more at ESS moments before last light.
Lol, you know its funny Guy since i never mentioned a book before, but seems like everyone is asking me about one, so if I can swing it hopefully i can get something done by the Spring

These are all very nice Stan, but I'm really digging the pano!. Right, now off to ESS to check out the other one!.

All real nice, but I especially like the pano.

All are nice but the pano is the best of the bunch. Well done.
Wow these are really fantastic. 3 and 5 are real standouts for me. 3 might be my favorite of the bunch, and that is saying something because that pano is fantastic.
I fall into the #5 and then #1 camp. Although #4 is very nice as well.
Like the ability to move to the right of the trees and back through the image in the pano. The trees in #1 are such a strong fg subject that it is a little harder to move around them and see the dunes in the middle layer before going back to the high peaks.

These are all pretty cool, but I like your ESS post the best of them all. It is much like #1 on this page, but I like how it is zoomed out slightly more and the color is just a little more subtle on the trees and redder in the clouds. The pano here is amazing as well. Hope you are saving something for the colors contest

Stan...amazing work!!! You are seeing and capturing the dunes like no one has done it before.... great job..I like the first one, Pano and the one on ESS.

Well what can I say that has not yet been spoken? We want the book! We want the book!

Awesome Stan! I think the first one is the strongest. I know where these aspens are and I've had this type of potential fall shot in the back of my mind for years, so I admit I cringed a little to see you executed it so well before I had a chance to do it myself! Well done!

1,3,5 are outstanding! I think 5 is my fave. It truly seems to be a unique image for the dunes.
Well done!

Another excellent series from the Dunes...no one shoots this area better. Great job!
John
together. I like the variety that you've portrayed. My favorite is #1.
