Tricked you!!!
Not been out much recently so really looking forward to the deer rutt. First trip upto Bradgate in a few weeks.
Mallard image was taken whilst up with the Reindeer herd in the Cairngorms. I guess they hang around the herd looking for food scraps left by the toursists. They were really confident and came upto you as if to say "what you playing at give me the food".

Nice one Ben, for me the more common subjects always seem to be the most difficult to capture.

this was taken during a session with the reindeer led by the Reindeer Company. You walk from a car park approx halfway up the road to the mountain train. Cross the road, along some board walks into some of the lower paddocks where they are fed each day. The ground is pretty wet and the grass is fairly patchy but get it right and frame filling grass shots result.
A much under photographed subject, would have liked a slightly more relaxed posture, and perhaps a little more on the left, for it to walk into.
Nice shot, potential well seen and executed.

Thanks for all the comments. I agree could perhaps do with a little more room for the mallard to walk into but of the series I took it was the best. Only other one is this one but with the head turn there was definately more room needed on the left.

Hi Ben,
Very nice simple portrait, I would have liked a touch more room on the left personally, but no big deal really.
Cheers,
Lewis.
