Thanks for your work on this Jim. We're tied up on an industrial shoot this weekend, or out be out and about too. But I'll be with everyone in spirit, and looking forward to the results!
I'll be on a plane, shuffling through airports, etc. Not exactly the way I would prefer to spend Nature Appreciation Day!

I'm happy to report that the California contingent is now 23 strong! We're meeting in the Eastern Sierra along the infamous June Lake Loop.
Weather is predicted to be unsettled with daytime high only in the 40's.... brisk, just how I like it.
If you happen to be in the area, :-), stop on by!
Lon
ps. Thanks Jim!

Dang. Hank is on an industrial shoot, and I'm on an antelope shoot. (It's antelope season in SD ) However, I am taking my camera gear. Flash gear too! There is some cool stuff out there where SD/ND/MT meet at their corners. It's a true Western landscape.

I'll be in Alaska Conservation Foundation meetings all weekend, looking at nature through a window. Bummer.

We are doing a group meetup in north Texas. If you are in the area come on over to Fort Worth and we will meet at dawn at Tandy Hills Park. This is a natural area of hills overlooking the Trinity River and downtown. Hopefully get some early fall colors and maybe some late summer blooms too.

The NAD 2009 Photo Gallery is now built and can be accessed via the Galleries menu at the top of the page.
The gallery will be open for posting photos from Sunday, Oct. 4 through Sunday, Oct. 18 for NPN members to post their photos taken on Oct. 4, 2009 - NPN's Nature Appreciation Day. The gallery will remain open permanently for viewing and comments.
NAD was a great excuse to get out and shoot today, not that I really needed one What are the rules for posting in the NAD gallery? Are we each limited to one shot each to this gallery, or is the normal 48 hour posting rule in effect until 10/18?
