Lesser Black Backed Gull in beautiful light!
Following on from the theme of subjects in beautiful light....well.. it is actually a gull!

Just been processing these gull images that I photographed in August and really liked the colours in this image. The reflections are old buildings that situated on the opposite side of the river. Its fantastic watching the gulls come down to this particular location and seeing them bathe and just going about their daily routines. I'd like to get to eye level with them but its not possible unless someone can lend me a boat!!:jump:

I'm pretty confident that this is a juvenile LBB Gull but im open to suggestions as my i.d skills on juvvy gulls are pretty naff!

Comments and crits welcome.

Cheers

Ian

Lovely image Ian, that reflection is a stunner, looks like burnished brass.

The water colours more than make up for the PoV, in fact you may not have got that effect with a lower PoV. Simple and effective....

Fantastic image Ian, that reflected colour is amazing! Always a struggle to get interesting gull shots, nicely done.

Cheers,

Lewis.

Excellent. Superb colours. All that going on in the bg and the gull still stands out really well. I love it.
