Stan must be processing more photos from the Dunes trip and is not looking at this weekend's weather forecast. I'll take a stab at it as I know a lot of folks will be heading down to SW part of CO this weekend. Please keep in mind that I am not a professional forecaster like Stan, but I do get to play with weather forecast models.
Saturday is looking very good weather wise. Should be a nice day across the state. By Sunday morning it appears that the storm dropping down the California coast will start impacting SW region of the state. Looks like a few clouds are possible through out the day with showers (snow up high) in the afternoon and early evening. But what really stands out to me is the wind. While not too big of a deal on Saturday, it should be picking-up across the San Juans by Sunday afternoon with some strong gusts. Hope the leaves stay on the trees.
More of the same for Monday and Tuesday. The winds will probably decrease some and a lower chance of precipitation from Sunday.

Sounds about right, Stephen. Actually the latest NAM is hitting the divide with snow showers most of Monday too. Looks like once again its the western part of the state that is going to get the precip, just more wind for the eastern parts, especially monday over the Sangres and southern front range. Im not really excited by this weather pattern, things dont get half way interesting until later in the week, when the arctic front makes a run at Colorado.
