The Color Purple (with apologies to Alice Walker)
Here are a couple more aster photographs taken yesterday before the bad weather hit. The first is a purple aster, while the second is chicory (which is also a part of the aster family - news to me)...

Pentax K20K, 55mm lens, macro, f/19, 1/125"

Enjoy and stay warm this weekend,

Tim!

Pentax K20D, w/ Pentax 67 135mm macro, and about 5cm of ext. tube; f/16, 1/90"

Nice vivid colors on the Asters, Tim. Like the details in the Chicory closeup.

Nice work, Tim. You handled the light extremely well, IMO, in both images.

Love the asters the colors are so vibrant! I like the way you presented the images. What settings or functions did you use in photoshop to buttonize? I've been trying to get the same effect. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
