The bad news is, I'm a little clumsy somtimes. The good news is, I cought the filter before it landed in the mud. Now I have a polerizing filter with a perfect finger print right in the middle, Great for identifying it as mine, but not so good for taking pictures.
Here's my begginer guestion: Is it ok to use lens cleaning fluid and paper to clean a polerizer? I imagine there is a coating on the surface of the filter, how sensitive to wiping with a cloth?
No probs, but I'd be sure there's no dust or grit of any kind before you start wiping it. I actually prefer microfiber cloths to liquids, except in the worst cases.

I use the microfiber cloths that are used for cleaning off your glasses
