The October 2009 Edition is now online!

Here in the northern hemisphere, autumn is upon us in many places and Kurt Budliger's Cover Image communicates that beautifully. Congratulations, Kurt!

In our first article this month, Contributing Editor, Ian Plant writes an inspiring piece on Imposing Your Artistic Vision. His images that accompany the text, as usual, are superb.

One of our other Contributing Editors, Alain Briot, offers a thoughtful article on one aspect of image processing that many photographers struggle with mastering. In Part 3 of Composing With Color, Alain tackles saturation. When is it enough and when is it too much?

Glenn Bartley shares some insight to Nature Photography in Ecuador. Ecuador is certainly an overlooked nature photography destination, as Glenn illustrates with his words and images.

And finally, Jim Dewitt and Richard Ditch review four commonly-used field guides for bird photographers from the perspective of actual bird photographers! Read A Non-Birder's Guide to Bird Field Guides before choosing one as a resource in the future.

Thanks, as always, to this month's contributors and writers. Enjoy Nature Appreciation Day!
