Way behind with processing and between bringing myself to look at files that are 3 years old and more (very depressing), I'm picking a few out from early this year.
I do like simple, graphic images but I know they're not for everyone. I was photographing geese at a local loch and this Slavonian grebe emerged from the vegetation trailing with it a silvery wake which for me, lifts this above other similar shots I've taken before.
Very much in agreement the silvery wake makes this image, the mist also helps!!!!!!
Proof that simple shots work, the difficult bit is deciding where in the frame to put the grebe?

I love that glowing colour and it seems well composed to my eye. Possibly a couple of dust bunnies below and right from the grebe or maybe just detritus on the water..

The shot I have been trying for, just brilliant

Beautiful colours, composition are very good and the sunlit trail left behind by the grebe gives movement to the image, very nice
