Kaw River Sunrise Silhouette
I got out early yesterday morning with Angela and Scott to shoot the sunrise along the Kansas River. While the clouds didn't cooperate quite like we would have hoped for I was able to get this shot just before sunrise.

35 mm, 3 sec @ f/13, ISO 100, MF, 75% FF

Nice shot Wayne, I like the shooting location you selected with the little inlet on the lower left side and dead trees in the center add enough interest to hold your eye in the color reflected on the water.

Had a great time shooting with you and Angela and exploring Tuttle!

Hmm, this looks familiar! I have one almost identical  (I'll post mine later.) I like your twig snag in the midground. I didn't get it placed as well in my version. Great mood and colors.

I had a LOT of fun with you & Scott

In a word, sublime. The twigs add a lot of interest to the foreground, and the color is incredible. Beautiful, Wayne - despite the sparse clouds.

Wayne, a classic sunrise and you have done it justice in you shot. As others have mentioned the twigs are a focal point.

ditto to what the others have said, I like how the inlet breaks up the dark left side and helps draw the eye into the image, it looks like you 3 had a good time
