Something not normally covered here , ok I'm going for the Ahhhh vote .I was pleased to have a weekend on mammals.Returning from a trip to the Chase ,doing Fallows , the wife pointed out a little fella that was regularly helping himself to seeds from the fallen feeder in our garden .So ,relaxing in the late afternoon sun enjoying a glass of wine on the patio, the remote trigger was set up and four glasses later ......
Oh and for those going to Richmond or Bradgate over the next few weeks think on and make sure you have your risk assesment and health and safety docs up to date .... this prat obviously didn't..

Ahhhh! This might work nicely in portrait format as well.
Is this a mouse or a rat Mark? I have a rat in the garden which the Council tried to get rid of and the little blighter is still here. He acts like a squirrel on the feeders. I hate rats but hes actually got quite a cute face and I am sort of growing accustomed to him now.
Nice image by the way.

No wonder he looks sleepy if he's had 4 glasses of wine
Maggie, it's a stag ;) AKA a Wood Mouse ((Apodemus sylvaticus). believed to be our 2nd most common mammal (Short-tailed Vole is commonest) and probably the most likely endemic mammal to have in your garden.
Nice one Marl
