Red Deer Hind
Red deer hind taken recently at Bradgate. I have desaturated it a little, but it was the colour that really made this one stand out, so I hope I haven't ruined it.

All C&C and opinions welcome.

Nikon D3 with Nikon 600/F4. 600 mm 1/400 @ F4, ISO 800, EV 0.67 FF

Hi Mike. Nice image of the hind. I wonder if it might be better with a crop at the top removing the hedge/tree section. I also wonder if maybe a slower shutter speed/ lower ISO might have helped. I could be wrong with my suggestions as I still have my "L" plates  I was at Bradgate last Sat but the light was terrible. :wavey:

I agree with Maggie's suggestion to crop the image as i think it would make the Deer stand out more. Like the way you have used the DOF here! Bradgate is a superb place and i am looking forward to going there in November again.
