Even Predators Have Predators...!
More of Natural History image than one with any real technical merit, but thought it was worth sharing.. Maybe I should have pushed for more DOF but I was just pleased to be able to get the record more than anything else..

Well not everything can be prettied up and this one is more interesting than a typical record shot. May be try and darken down the lower RH corner a little more to make it less obtusive but I still like the image as presented.

So that's what the mossies feed on when I'm not there!

Thats awesome.

I think sometimes we all get a bit carried away with making compositons perfect, sharpness light and saturation all blindingly perfect, perhaps sometimes forgetting that the simple things can make the best image. For me, in this case the mossie (or whatever it is) really shows off the character of the Snake and lifts it above many other similar images in my opinion.

Really great stuff,

Another belter .Natural history on not ,a record shot par excellence.A touch of burn bottom right and to the tail perhaps?

A great shot Brett! We can get too fussy sometimes with regard to composition and tidiness of an image.... this is exactly what you saw, and you have captured it well Brett.

Is nothing safe from the damn things? I'm surprised they can get between the scales though.

Cheers
