Tracks in the mud
This is a shot from Saturday morning at Bogg's Landing on the Kansas River. I couldn't find any deer tracks for the foreground, but there were plenty of dog prints.

I think this is only the second time in my life I've ever shot photos *before* the sun was up..and both times Wayne and Angela where there...hmmm bad influences?

3 shot blend, Canon 40D, Canon 10-22mm@10mm, ISO 400, f22

Bad influence ... hummm, you may be right. But if you're going to get interesting compositions like this I think getting up early may become more routine for you. Your blending technique is approaching perfection, sweet!

your blend is great as always, Scott. The image feels tilted to the right to me; could be an optical illusion.

I'm thinkin getting up early agrees with you! Nice shot Scott. Great POV.

Nice capture, as always.

I bet you did some cleaning of the tripod legs and rubber (hopefully) boots???

What program are you using to blend photos? I have PhotoMatix but haven't used it much. It will do HDR and blend. Initial output varies a bit.

Excellent, Scott.

Very cool! I saw you shooting down low and wondered what you had found. Your blend is great as always. Maybe you could have added claw marks and told people these were Wildcat prints (ha!) As for being a bad influence, I think it's evident getting up early is GOOD for you when you get shots like this.

Very nice. Pre-sunrise photos can turn out to be exceptional, this is an example.

Great composition Scott. And I love the color reflecting off of the mud.

Nice colors and the track really adds to the composition. Nice one Scott.
