I took this back in late August on a peaceful evening. I worked this one up tonight because I have the chance to have 3 of my prints hang in the hospital I work in. The VP (also a photographer) who is making the final decision on which prints saw another scene from the same night and liked it. I worked this one up because I like it better than the one he saw.

I am going to include the uncropped version in a reply. The print will be 20"x30". I am open to alternate crop suggestions.

A question on presentation. The VP plans to have the prints mounted on some sort of matboard only, and then bracketed to the wall. This is how his prints are hung in a separate part of the hospital. None of his prints have a border/matte, nor are they framed. When presented this way, are digital mattes a bad option? I've printed a couple of images with digital mattes but always framed them, which won't happen with the hospital images. Would it look too strange to have a matte with no frame?

Thanks, Rob

Here is the original uncropped image. One crop I had considered included the left corner, but I don't like the muddy water.

I like the top one because it shows more of the cloud relflection. Great clouds!!

Rob,

I like the first one the best, I think the crop to remove the muddy water is a great choice.

Could you print a small black border around the edge of the digital mat, maybe something only a 5-10 pixels wide?

I too like the crop of picture number 1. I like how the grasses lead you unbroken into the image. Impressive light on those great clouds. Congrats on getting some of your images in the hospital!

Thanks for the input. Scott, I like your idea of adding a really narrow black border.
