Water Sherpa
This just struck me as really funny at the time ... a couple mornings ago, I watched this guy paddle his wife (or friend or whatever) across Oxbow Bend so she could photograph a moose.

Comments, captions, thought bubbles, etc ... they are all welcome.

Next fall I am going to have my wife pull me in a rickshaw while I take photos!

Love it! This photo tells a great story. I was at the Tetons this weekend and probably stood on the same hillside as you at Oxbow Bend. I thought the Maroon Bells was about as crowded with photographers as it gets until this weekend. I was there 30 minutes before sunrise on Friday and Saturday and each time there were at least 50 photogs with tripods already there. Jesse, I look forward to seeing some of your shots from the trip.

I'm not clever enough to come up with a cute title (Todd?), but I know one thing, and that is that I like every little thing about this shot. Especially how the water breaks right at their canoe.

Him: "If only I could tip over just the front half of the canoe..."
Her (blonde): "Why is that man following me?"

Hope she got the shot!

Man: This is the last time I tell her to pick up a hobby...

Hahaha....I know both of these people - they are not even close to husband and wife!! He lives in Jackson and she, in Idaho Falls!! Too funny!!! Wait until I show her this....

But she DOES have the other oar.....

You've got to be kidding me Carl. That is really funny.

I was pretty jealous ... that has to be one sweet ride across those waters.

Jesse, I was out there for ten days and just got home on Saturday. The last I saw her was in the Cowboy Bar last Wednesday night, when we were each enjoying a beer. She never told me she had such a sweet ride.....and chauffeur!!! Had I known, I would have been able to catch that same Oxbow bull and two cows!!

Carl - you can say that again!

Him: "After we've finished with the canoe, I'll show you how well I motorboat."

or

Him to her (as photo guide to beginner workshop participant): "What do you mean, 'Where does the tripod go?'."

or

Her: "It looks like I forgot the memory card this time. Can you paddle me back to shore again?"

I won't be showing this image to my wife as she'd be asking why I didn't do that for her!! I was at the crazy Oxbow photog show on Friday morning as well and can attest to Brett's comparisons to Maroon Bells. It sure was a sweet sight after the snow though!

A very storytelling shot, Jesse. One can attach a lot of different meanings to both participants. Just a fun shot.
