Hoping for a Harvest moon photograph I made my way at 3 am along the Goat Trail and out onto Big Bluff. The 20% chance of rain turned into 99% cloud cover so I didn't get the photo I wanted.
Instead I played around with some light painting. This is the Buffalo River from Big Bluff.
A couple of more photos can be found here of the bluff and gnarled cedar tree.
Hey Rod I agree with Zack nice job on the light painting. The hike on the bluff in the dark sounds a little scary to me. I also like the cedar tree image as well. See ya at the gathering.

Rod, I can just imagine what my thought process would be if I was camping on the river near that spot. Invaders from outer space? Sounds like you had a fun trip. I enjoyed your journal as well. I will keep my eye for strange lights coming from the sky when I camp on the Buffalo!

Very unique perspective here, Rod. I like it. The light painting looks very uniform and evenly dispersed - something I've never been able to do. I'm sure if you keep going back you will get the shot you want - hang in there!

Bluff Spring click on Journal.
I have it on good information that this will happen again in about 30 days or so.
