Saturday Late Afternoon Sierra Wave South
The Saturday before the Meeting at Silver Lake was special. I know this was a fall color shoot, but October seems to be the month to ride the wave as well. Just uploaded all my images and forgive me I'm a cloud fan especially phenomena. I did clone out some kinda concrete thing in the mid ground, but other wise this image needed little processing. Olympus E-500 f/16 ISO 100 1/60

hey paul, looks like you shot this from dixon lane, brochman in bishop? I looked at those too but decided I wanted to go after the big lenticular to the north east. So I headed off towards crowley. As I was afraid off, it broke apart near sunset, usually do, but it was big enough to spawn others so wasn't a loss. I came back w/ this for my efforts.

Cory,

This was actually shot from the road that goes past the K mart and Vons. I took a picture from the same spot of the Great lenticular stack from the other side of the road it's posted in the Weekly Challenge Gallery. I headed south to get the others at sunset, drove down to the Owens river on Collins rd. and was devoured by mosquitoes. When I process an image I'll post it here.

Photo is processed. This was about 1 1/2 hours later than first photo.

Cool shots Paul! The first one has nice color contrast between the rabbit brush and the wave. And I really like the color of the sky in the second one.

I also saw these clouds while I was setting up camp in Bishop. We drove around Owens River and the mosquitos looked really bad out. So I opted out of shooting from there. It was also right after my son dropped his new camera in the water unfortunately. So we didn't go out to shoot after that. But I did take one of the sky looking east toward the mtns. from the campground.

Very nice series Paul. I'm liking the UFO's and building lenticular cloud.
