With some more "slurry-mush" around him...
The bad weather and private matters are keeping me home at the moment so here's another from the recent Roe Deer rut..
Needless to say i was pretty close to this guy..
Allready looking forward to next years Roe Deer rut season...
Greetings,

A very nice close-up showing the facial faetures off so clearly.
I'm never convinced about what looks best in these types of situations, i.e. the lack of the virtual legs feels a bit strange, but the trouble is, if you include the space for them then your left with half a frame of completely out of focus vegetation, which, again looks a bit strange. I think you made the best choice here with the better composition of the two scenarios.
Looks like you've got a great location for Roe there.
A cracking portrait Jeroen. I agree with Justin that you have made the best choice of composition and the inclusion of the oof vegetation works fine.

Thats very nice indeed.... perhaps a shade less contrast but that is minor, we have got to thank CM for one thing, we have a new word, I like the slurry here
