We are looking at various options for our summer holiday in the summer of 2010. We are a party of 4 and as a wildlife/birdphotographer, i will ofcourse take my equipment with me...

I have a few questions and was hoping i could get some help here:

1. Can someone recommend a good general area for bird (loons) maybe moose
2. Secondly is there a good organization we can approach for the rental of a cottage in Maine?

many thanks for any help and tips

Hi Rene! You're giving yourself plenty of time and that's great! I would think that the Rangeley Lakes region or the Moosehead Lake area would be great places for you. Either have lots of wildlife to "play" with, As far as lodging, I would contact each place's Chamber of Commerce. They would know of rentals also besides the usual motel/cabins. I hope it comes together for you.

Rene.....

I just saw your post or I would have replied sooner. I live in the western mountains of Maine and own a cabin here that is available in the summer months. Please feel free to contact me directly at leadley@myfairpoint.net.

Here are links to the cabin and the area:
