The hillsides around Tuttle Creek Dam were just filled with huge patches of sumac, which seems to be more colorful this year than usual. I took this shot on Sun. when I revisted the area. Some of the sumac leaves are a little blurry because it was (as usual) quite breezy out there in the Flint Hills.

Very nice Angela,
Is this place very far off of I-70? Might work in a visit on our trip to Moab later this month.
I am surprised you did not have enough plamps to keep the sumac from moving.

Very nice composition and colors!
Wind in Kansas? Why I've never heard of such!

The sumac seems to be doing well in Arkansas this year too. The eroded tops of those hills are quite striking - looks like they were shaved off. Nice work, Angela.
