The Rut
These guys were going at it for a good twenty minutes or so and the noise from the locking antlers was incredible!!!
As always wrong lens at the wrong time,I was at this point pretty close with the 500mm but the shot gives you the feeling of being in amongst the action!!!!

Super action shot Craig, you can almost feel the power.

You certainly feel in the middle of the action. I like the way you can just see the eye of the RH stag.

Good work.

Nice action shot , I like the blurred foreground stag putting emphasis on the main one, greens look a tadge harsh?

Certainly exudes a feel of the effort being expended by the two stags and I like the 'in amongst it' approach. The stag on the right has been elevated to the main focus of attention by the blur present in its opponant, therefore, it would have been nice to see a little more of its eye. I'm obviously splitting hairs though, as in the circumstances you've done well to tell the story so effectively.

Cheers,
Chris

I think I would have liked the depth of field slightly nearer the camera, otherwise a very nice capture, well seen and taken.

Nice action shot Craig. Poss slighty over saturated?

I like this Craig - gives you a sense of being right in there with the action - I think its all too easy to pick up on the technical failures of this image, when in all honesty the image should just stand as it is - you can almost hear those antlers clashing - nice one

cheers
