Please View Big

Taken shortly after my previous post, the grebe came to see what I was doing but popped up a bit to close so he swam away causing the ripples. C&C appreciated.

Hi Liam

Although your last grebe shot was brilliant, I feel this is made all the better because of the contrast with the grebe. I can see this on a big canvas on a wall! Nice colours, composition, and a very peaceful image. :toast: :toast:

This is lovely - the lighting is sublime and the muted colours are beautiful. I particularly like the ripples and ring and the fact that the grebe is looking off into the 'empty' space at top left is great. A really fine image.

The best of the series for me, Liam. The ripple and ring add so much to this shot, the over all effect is very appealing.

Cheers,
Chris

Definitely the best of the 3 Liam - more contrast and the ripple just fills the space that bit more which creates more overall balance for me.

Not really my cup of tea, but I am sure it appeals to many, on that basis well seen and taken.

To my eye this one is unbalanced with not enough happening on the LHS. So I prefered the earlier ones.

Sorry I agree partially with Duncan, but still a fabulous shot that i would be proud to have in my collection.

It's a great series and I like this one very much. You have lot's of options re composition. My personal preference would be to take a little from the top and right. Very nicely done.
