These elk get everywhere.
Harsh light but I liked the action. Rocky today of course. Fair weather day so most of Colorado was there plus plus.
Had to compress to quality 4 to fit the 200KB limit, :frown:

Well if you cropped the elk out of the picture and focused on the fall colors (or lack there of) behind him you probably would have made the KB limit just fine.

Great shot, I think that it is nice to see bulls doing something other than fighting this time of year. I would like to have seen a little bit less DOF so his neck stood out more from the grass behind him but it can be hard to do that in harsh light.

I am personally hoping to go shoot up to RMNP in the snow this weekend and maybe get a chance to see some elk.

Nice shots - the second one is my favorite, my only nit is the shadow of her left ear covering her eye. Not much you could do about that though...

Nice images Bill. I like the subtle colors in the bugle image.

Hi Bill, I like the action in the first one (just wish the light was better for you), I like the colors in the second image and the comp on the third one. Nice job!! :toast:

Great shots Bill! Where in the park were you shooting today?
The crowds out today were insane for the Elk rut. I've never seen such a madhouse on a Wednesday in the park in the fall heh. I think everyone was looking for things to do since Trail Ridge was closed at Many Curves Point. Snow tomorrow! See you there!

I agree about liking 2 the best. Looks like you were trying for Rembrandt lighting.

I like 2, 3, 4 - #4 because it depicts a story of RMNP this time of year. You've been getting your monies worth lately in RMNP ;).
