A Little New England Color
Great to be back from a quick trip to upstate NY and VT.

This image, shot well after sunset, is Moss Glen Falls in the Green Mountain National Forest. I originally planned to spend the week in Adirondack State Park in NY but the color was late so I headed east to VT where the color was much better.

If interested, you can view a few of the images from the trip on my photoblog.

The trip has really got me primed for color here in Arkansas and it is great to see images from home on CSNP while traveling. Hopefully a few images of new england color will get you excited about "Fall in the Ozarks". With all this rain it could be a quick and magical Autumn this year.

Cambo WRS, Phase One P65+ DB, 24mm, 8 or 10 second exposure.

Great view, Ed, with wonderful colors and effect. The fact that the log was cut with a saw catches my eye.

Ed, great colors you have captured in this photo. I really enjoyed the shots on your blog also. It sounds like you had a great trip!

Welcome back, Ed - beautiful image. I always enjoy seeing your work and reading about your travels.

Could be my monitor, but there seems to be a magenta cast in the water and trees at the top center...everything else looks great.

Beautiful shot Ed. I am seeing the same color cast Bill noted. Great stuff on your blog too. I like the other Moss Glen Falls shot even more, and the top Lefferts Pond shot is magical. Thanks for sharing.

I like the other Moss Glen shot better too. You've got some great stuff posted there, and looks like you had a very productive trip. Someday I'd love to make it to NE for fall.

Thank you for the great comments. I suspect there is a color issue with this image, I have special procedures I have to use with this wide angle lens and digital back combination. I will take another shot at it now that I have gotten some sleep.

Beautiful Ed. I love the multible colors of the scene. Maybe we'll get some conditions like this in AR this fall.

Lon, I'm not sure what log you see. The bottom of the image is all rock. Perhaps you mistook one of those for a log.

Diagonal in LRC is not a log? It sure fools my eye! :  Maybe it is like once you see a face in a cloud, it looks so deliberate rather than imagined!

After you mentioned it, it did look like a log and the brown rock in the center left too. Just the compression I guess, they are both rocks.
