I think I would like to see the entire shadow in #1. The second is nice and sharp and shows the unique adaptations of the bird. Cool.

Beautiful colors and nice detail Dan. You have been on a shooting spree lately. I might need to ask you were to find these little guys

Great images! Birds aren't easy to shoot...they move an awfully lot.

Killer stuff! I guess you don't have to tell them winter's on the way.

I really like the first shot - looks like it's preparing for winter one feather at a time...

Now I'm really jealous Dan, I've gone looking for these guys a few times with no success then Nick and I found some in the dark early one morning on Trail Ridge, but I don't have any shots of them and these are just great.

Thanks Bill. It took me awhile to find these. I was about to head down, then found a bunch of tracks and just followed them right to the birds. Not sure if they keep the road plwed in the winter from the Grant side, but would love to get them in their full winter plummage.

Nice images Dan, I agree about the shadow but both are top notch.

These are great, Dan. I love the comp in the first one.

Beautiful shot, Dan. Love the degree of the feather change, sort of a 2 season view in one shot. How was the road? Much snow? I assume you went up from the south end since the Georgetown end I heard was closed.

Thanks Don. The roads were pretty clear. I am sure that will change after today!
