Drinking Song Thrush
Another boring pool shot for your perusal ! I thought Id try the 500 wide open for a change just to see how much difference it would make to the background. It's just about worked I think. The extra speed gained is certainly useful.

Quite nice, just needs more D.O.F. and the foreground stone removed.

Yes John, how remiss of you not to have removed that lumping big stone. You should have known that bird was going to land just there. And while we're at it what on earth is that grass doing there? Now then, get out there and bulldoze that pond properly !!!
Keep smiling
Robert.
ps. I still haven't worked out how to put those little smily things onto a reply !!!

Like it John, stone aside it's a very nice shot.

Carl, why does the image need more D.O.F. when the thrush is sharp from beak to tail ???

Nice one John :toast:

However I feel I must take issue with you for not removing the clumps of grass and that big stone and as for that slurry in the background. Tish tish

certainly doesn't need more DOF to my eyes John as the bird is sharp throughout. A very nicely taken shot.
