If anyone's looking for something to do out in the rain tonight, I have good information that the ringed salamanders populating the Ozarks in Missouri and Arkansas will be migrating in large numbers to their breeding ponds tonight. It may have happened in Missouri already - I'm not sure. I plan to join my herpetologist colleague around 7 tonight and drive the roads around Hobbs State Park and War Eagle Mill. If you're out driving, be sure to keep an eye out for the little guys and don't run over them. Just look for something squirming in the road.

Interesting, good luck Bill. I'll be sure to brake for any squirming things. Show us what you come up with.

Any chance they will be out tomorrow night?

Matthew, I'm really not an expert at this, but I'll ask Kory tonight.
