Nuthatch
Taken in the garden recently. Not having been in my garden hide for some time I was delighted to find a pair of nuthatches were visiting the feeders at the edge of the wood. As John R mentioned in an earlier post it is becoming a bit more feasible to shoot as the leaves are coming off the trees. During summer the light levels are so poor it is hardly worth while, especially on fast moving little birds like these.

Cracking image

I dont know if this is a big crop or its because of the ISO 500, but the BG is very noisy ?.

Other than that its great

It should be easy to reduce the background noise, lovely image, nice and close and bright and sharp.

Wonderful, I sense some nuthatch madness coming on.

A nice typical Nuthatch pose..... Interesting the comments about noise, maybe a little predominant here, however, in the good old days, did any one comment that the film grain detracted from the image? At an average reproduction size in print you would not even notice it.... Sorry, just a pet hang up.... Back on topic...

Like it....

Hi Robert,

Noise aside its a great shot of a tricky little species, keep the feed going and they should hang around too, looking forward to more!

Cheers,

Lewis.
