Osprey
I shot this Osprey at Chatfield State Park on Friday. This was the only good photo that I got, before heading over to Roxborough State Park for some pretty good fall colors before the next storm arrives. I've put those photos in the Fall Foliage Report topic.

Olympus E-3, 50-200mm w/1.4x teleconverter. (Equal to 560mm for 35mm)

Nice one Jim. I'm surprised they are still here. Like the pelicans they will be moving on soon.

Nice first topic Jim. I agree with Stan about the branch, but the image is still way cool.

Yeah, it's pretty hard to get wildlife to do what you want them to do, especially when you have a camera ready. They don't follow instructions very well! At least I was able to get it's head out from behind the branch before it flew off.

Thanks for the compliments.

I have only seen this guy twice out at Chatfiled and can never ger close enough to him. nice job! I agree about the baranch. Also, the whites look just a touch hot on my monitor. Did they look okay on the histogram?
