Monday morning, driving north from Bishop, just past the fog on Crowley Lake, high on a triple cappucino.....The details of the mountains are much better in the high res photo.

Yeah, shot with a 5D Mark 2 and Canon 100-400 lens at full magnification, then cropped away about 2/3 of the original photo.

Like that up close details and the clouds. Really give the mountain an ominous presence.

Nice mix of cool and warm tones. The beautiful sidelight brings out the nice shapes as well. Since you cropped away a good portion, a version with just a bit more of that warm fg to contrast with that cold mountain might look really good too. Well seen and captured!
