Canon's RAW Codec that allows you to view RAW files in Windows Explorer only works for 32-bit systems, so when I built a 64-bit rig for editing, I was disappointed to lose that feature.
Tonight I found this codec, and it works perfectly on all 64-bit Windows versions (I'm using 7 Ultimate). Once again I can view 5D2 RAW files just sitting in the folder, which is a nice convenience when looking for an abscure image that's still named IMG_4417.CR2.

No problem! I just discovered that you can open your RAW files even in Windows Picture & Fax Viewer for a quick large-sized peek, once you install the codec. I mean, I use Bridge all the time and really like the CS4 version, but sometimes you just want that fast preview, so I'm glad I stumbled onto this.
