Hello
One from the Richmond Park outing yesterday - good to meet Fran & Phil
This took me completely by surprise as I was taking the shot only of the male when suddenly the female came crashing out of the undergrowth just as I took the shot - don't know who was more surprised, me or the Stag. The next shot after this the stag has his head turned looking back after the female and his expression was quite comical, I might post that later.
Good day was had by all, hope Bradgate was as good for you guys up there.
Techs:
D3 + 500mm F4 Tripod/Gimbal
1/125 @f4 ISO 1000
cheers for looking
Colin

Hi Colin, it was good to meet you yesterday, and I am pleased you arrived home safely. I am glad you had a good day and got the shots that you wanted. Funnily enough I had one similar to this

Good capture considering the circumstances, nice bit of action Colin.
Hello Colin,
as Phil says it's a good behavioural image and the inclusion of the moving hind has lifted it a bit from the standard 'roaring' images. If it were mine I would probably clone out that pale object on the bracken line just above left of the stags head. Other than that I think it's a cracking picture and I'm surprised it hasn't attracted more comments.
Cheers.
Robert

Andy...
Exposure wasn't easy here and you seem to have handled it well.
