Every man needs....
a hobby!

Found this beauty on the Isle of Sheppey yesterday hunting what was an abundance of dragonflies. I was working from the car and I was lucky that it perched within reach a couple of times.

There are a lot of hobbies around Kent this autumn, but this is one of the finest pictures I have seen of one, Jon.

Beautiful shot Jon. A question, do you cover youself when you shoot from
the car? I mean that he cant see you silhuette.
Thanks

Thanks for all the comments. Bertl I've found that I can work with just a beanbag on the window as long as I don't make any sudden movements. For this one the bird landed behind me so I had to reverse as close as I dare and shoot over the passenger seat and out the back window. My wife was in the passenger seat and found herself sharing it with a chattering Canon - she suffers for my art! I'd say I was lucky but you make your own luck.

Regards

Jon

Super shot.

I've found Sheppey most productive too, but have never managed anything quite as good as this ! :toast: :toast:

Ah that is just sublime! The rich colours, the arrogant pose, the background - all combine to make a wonderful image.
