Oaks, Pope Valley, CA, Spring
Last spring I went to Pope Valley in Northern
California for wildflowers. While there I was
impressed with these Oak trees. Your comments
are always welcome.

Hi Robert

Pope Valley huh, never heard of but I'm definitely intrigued. Did a quick Google search and it's not too far from home. Love the oaks, flowers, and overall comp. I'd like to see a little more detail in the oaks but given the light I can understand why they are dark. Nice job and thanks for tipping me off to a new location.

Man, we have a long way to go before we get to see that again! Lovely greens, and I like the flowers. The light looks a little harsh though, but I think you can rescue some of the blacks which would help.

Great subjects here, Robert. Oaks can provide some interesting scenes, such as this fine example here. This is especially nice with the wildflowers around the base too.

What fine looking oak specimen and nice use of that carpet of flowers to fill the bottom in nicely. As strong image with a well balanced composition. I do feel like there is a slight haloing around the upper tree branches and ridgeline. Other than that, this definitely works for me. Well done!

The oak along with the wildflowers add a nice balance to a great inmage.
