I got a chance to get out to shoot for a while today and ended up running into Bill Dark at Triple Falls. Bill, I'd like to see your perspective if you get a chance to post one.

I also wanted to show a shot taken with the new Canon 7D of some elk down in Boxley, but CS4 won't open up 7D raw files yet...

Excellent Aaron!
Load up the Canon software that came with the 7D and show us those elk photos.

Beautiful image, Aaron! I really like the angle you chose here, and your processing is perfect.

I don't think I could improve at all on this, so I'll refrain from embarrasing myself

Very nice Aaron! It's a soothing image. The water was just right it looks like.

Great shot Aaron! How do you like the 7D?

Beautiful Aaron, well done. An Arkansas classic.

The 7D is very impressive with improved AF system, 100% viewfinder coverage, 8 FPS, better video shooting frame rates, electronic viewfinder grid, on camera speedlight commander mode, but of course it's no full frame sensor on noise.

It's basically a Nikon D300 made by Canon.

Well done Aaron.

Lovely shot Aaron. I'm envious of you guys right now with both color and water. Every autumn trip I've made up there has been bone dry.

By the way, one work around on the raw files(ohter than the Canon software): convert the raw to DNG and then Photoshop should be able to open it.

Thanks for posting Aaron, this is a great composition. It is wonderful having this much water heading into peak color. The foliage at the top adds a lot to the image.
