Hedgehog
Some time ago my neighbour called me te say their was a young hedgehog in her garden. It was not quite a time to expect a hedgehog but certainly a nice opportunity to photograph it during the day. Unfortunately it didn't stay very long, but I was able to take a few shots while it was looking for food around her pond.
Nikon D80 @ 420 mm, iso 200, f 7.1, 1/125 sec on a beanbag.

Lovely detailed image Sandra. A real cutie. As you say not often you see them during the day.

I've a real soft spot for hedgehogs - one is having his supper in our garden as I am typing this. It would have been nice to get rid of those few blades of grass, but reality is that you seldom get time for that. Lovely capture of the moment.
