Tea Kettle Falls
With the radar image saying 6 inches of rain fell in northern Madison County, Arkansas, I knew my chance had arrived to see water pouring from Tea Kettle Falls. This was taken Friday afternoon, a few hours after the rain ended.

Definitely one of the nicest falls around, as you've shown here, and so easy to get to! Nice work, John. Looks like the log jam in the hole has pushed on through!

I have never been up here, but judging by the pictures I have seen this looks like quite a bit of water. Also one of the better shots I have seen, nice work.

John,

Great image of Tea Kettle Falls. Great light and the color is perfect.

I went Thursday, a day too early. I almost cleaned the junk out of the hole, glad the rain did it for us.

Did you climb down from the top or walk up the creek?

Thanks everyone. Ed, I climbed down from below. Before leaving I walked down to check out Warm Fork Creek, and it would have been easy to wade across... the water was less than knee deep and wasn't all that swift. Even after all that rain.

Good shot, John. You've done a good job of keeping the waterfall from blowing out and of finding your own way to shoot this waterfall.

Beautiful shot John. The light is just right and I like the way you composed it with the foilage in the foreground. Excellent!

Nice job framing the falls with the foliage, both at the top and bottom. What a beautiful fall! Great job retaining detail in the dark cliff without blowing out the water. Great work!

Great shot, Ive been here twice and both times the creek was up but no water coming through the kettle!

John a beautiful image. I was there Friday morning early and it was cranking. I couldn't or wouldn't cross Warm Fork it was to high then. In fact I had to reroute around it. Tea Kettle had alot more water coming over the top little bridge than underneath. You couldn't stand where you took this shot without getting drenched. The force and spray was blowing those limbs everwhere. I could not keep my lens dry and was constantly wiping it off. By the time the shutter closed it was whet again. The falls dropped alot while I was there. I'll try to post the image when I get a chance.

I definitely want to see your shot Gale. When I first arrived around 3 p.m. there was quite a bit of water going over the top. By the time I took that shot, two hours later, well, the picture says it all.
