A couple of fall color images...
I was able to get up to the Eastern Sierra this weekend, and found (as many of you saw the previous weekend), that there isn't much by way of healthy and vibrant fall colors. At least not as good as some previous years. I found some decent looking groves around Aspendell, but still a lot of green below and a lot of bare trees and brown leaves above. Here are a couple of images from the area...

i missed out on the more interesting weather some of you experienced the previous weekend and had to settle for the more typical blue sierra skies...

Looks good Anish. We had a lot of wind to deal with. Looks like you had the patience or no wind. This spot is kind of a tough shot for composition but everybody loves it. The percentage of green was hard to work with but I do like the multi colored foreground.

Spaced out into the 2nd and forgot about the first.

A well balanced comp and nice mix of colors on the first image. My I moves around the image nicely. I might prefer a slight burn of the fg rocks... they seem a tad bright compared to the rest.

I really enjoy all the different layers of color captured in the second image. Lots of interest front to back. In a big print, I might enjoy seeing more of that sage in the fg, if you captured any more. The transitions between the different zones of vegetation on the steep Eastern side of the Sierra has always been something that fascinated me and this image shows that nicely.

Wonderful colors Anish. I like the layers and those mountains in the back are just great! They do look a little soft though?
