A quick technical question about editing a posted photo. I am new to this group and not quite sure of the procedure. After I posted a photo the other day I saw it was quite a bit darker on the web site than it appeared in Lightroom. I went back to Lightroom a brighten it up a bit and then in the "edit" screen click on "update photo". Nothing really changed. I brighten it up some more and still no change on the web site.

Can you edit a photo once you have posted it with deleting it and starting all over?

Thanks
DR

No.. to post a new photo, you must either delete the thread and start a new one (but only do that if no one's commented yet!). Otherwise you can post an edited version in reply to your original post.

One option is to post the photo on your own ISP storage site or website then include it along with the appropriate code and url in your message. That way you can edit the file and replace the one you previously linked to. Here is an example linked to my Wordpress blog site. Let me know if you want the code--Larry

Yes, you can link to your own server space, although I don't think it required posting another photo to demonstrate that.
